This past weekend we had the pleasure of going to Higgins Lake for the day. This was a spur of the moment trip and was well worth it and much needed. Now I might have to get a little sentimental for a moment. My sister and I have had our share of fights but are now in a place that I hope just keeps building and growing. She recently moved to Lansing which I know isn’t far away but it was the first weekend that she was not actually home. Which she has never lived more than about 15 minutes away. Now our children have a big age gap and I have always dreamed about my children playing with their cousins like we used to when we were children. Those were some of the best memories!
This past weekend made me think a lot about things in life. Like how God has blessed me with 2 children that are happy and healthy, a husband that supports me in all of my crazy ideas, my family that God perfectly blended together, and that I have a niece & nephew that love making memories with my children. But it also made me realize that not only am I going to miss my sister and the times that she came over in the spur of the moment it made me appreciate how our love and kindness has grown into a friendship that only sisters have. So, with that being said enjoy the memories that our children created together.
Cousins are connected heart to heart. Distance and time can’t break them apart!
We can’t wait to learn more about you!
