Rustic Fall Wedding | Midland, MI

Melissa and Erik are some of the sweetest, most genuine people on earth. They are super fun to be around, really care about others, and are clearly the perfect match! Melissa & Erik’s October wedding day started out drizzly and gray for a few hours then turned into a beautiful fall day. This rustic fall wedding was perfect from beginning to end. And these two, along with their whole crew, radiated joy and excitement all day long.

The day started with prep and bridal party photos. The guys were out having fun and the girls doted on Melissa. She wore a beautiful lace dress that suited her perfectly, and she was stunning! The ladies wore a soft dusty lavender, a rustic backdrop to their deep purple florals. The fellas sported black suits and dapper lavender vest and tie.

The wedding ceremony was held at Blessed Sacrament Parish in Midland. It has this eye pleasing circular shape with a skylight in the center letting beautiful natural light pour in. They opted to not see each other before hand, but took some time to exchange gifts before the ceremony. We then stopped by the picturesque Dow Gardens for some adorable couple portraits of them before heading into their reception at the Bradley House.  It was personalized to who they are as a couple and their wedding party was fabulous and full of energy.

Melissa & Erik’s entire celebration was about their journey together, everything that led them to this moment, and all the people that have loved them along the way. This meant there were lots of laughs. From their sweet first dances with each and their parents to the never-ending dance party. And you can’t forget about Michigan versus Michigan State football game.

I can’t say enough good things about this duo and how incredible they are. Melissa and Erik, I adore both of you.
